The Soul Blade was the personal weapon of Malrik Dreadmourne, the former Red Hand of the Grim Shadows. The weapon ignites with cold silver light when drawn for battle — an eerie, freezing illumination that unsettles both the living and the dead.
Malrik wielded the Soul Blade during his final stand at Black Hollow Villa, where the Silver Veil lured him into a trap using a Voidborn doppelganger of Conway. Even with the Soul Blade and two castings of Starfire (the forbidden High Elven spell), the ambush proved fatal. The fate of the Soul Blade after Malrik's death is unknown.
