The Battle of Black Hollow Villa

The Battle of Black Hollow Villa was the Silver Veil's most successful operation against the Grim Shadows — the assassination of Malrik Dreadmourne, the Red Hand (Supreme Commander). The Silver Veil, working through their alliance with the Cult of the Wyrm, created a Voidborn doppelganger of Conway — someone Malrik trusted — and used it to lure him to Black Hollow Villa. When Malrik arrived, the trap was sprung. Despite wielding the Soul Blade and casting Starfire twice (the forbidden High Elven spell that calls a pillar of white fire from the sky), Malrik was overwhelmed. The Silver Veil deployed Mist and Smoke — legendary twin assassins — as the killing blow. Malrik died at Black Hollow Villa, ending his tenure as Red Hand. However, Starfaller hunted down and killed Mist and Smoke in retaliation shortly after. Malrik's death triggered Starfaller's unanimous elevation to Red Hand and the beginning of the Grim Shadows' systematic eradication of Silver Veil operations in Arkest.
