Soulglass is a translucent material unique to the dark elves of Tal'Zareth. It is used in both construction — forming walls, pillars, and decorative elements in the obsidian halls of the underground realm — and weaponry. Soulglass weapons are prized for their sharpness, lightness, and the faint humming vibration they emit when used in combat.
Sorrowblade wields twin soulglass short swords, which are described as translucent blades that hum during battle. The material appears to have some connection to the soul-lanterns that light Tal'Zareth, though the exact magical properties remain unclear. What is known is that soulglass holds an edge indefinitely and is nearly impossible to forge outside of Tal'Zareth — making any soulglass weapon a rare and valuable artifact on the surface world.
