The Witchblades

The Witchblades are the Grim Shadows' arcane warfare division, commanded by Frostkiss Winterbane (Finger Three). Not mages in the traditional sense nor warriors in the common mold — they are an unholy synthesis. Wielders of cursed steel and spell-forged rage, each Witchblade is a walking death sentence cloaked in black steel and ritual scars. Three branches: the Grey Balance (elemental battle-mages mastering opposing elements), the Hexbringers (illusion, mind control, curses, and psychic warfare specialists), and the Blackflame Circle (forbidden mages trained in blood, shadow, and void — highly restricted, deployed as "Rings of Power" of 1-5 casters). They operate in small cells, rarely more than six, due to instability — too many Witchblades in one place and reality begins to fray. One Witchblade equals a squad. Their blood remembers ancient pacts their minds can barely endure.
