Mistfall, The Valley of Endless Mist

Full Record

Mistfall is a valley of perpetual, impenetrable mist lying north of the fortress-city of Highgard. Visibility is near zero. Sound behaves strangely. Compasses fail. The mist itself seems alive — thickening around intruders, thinning to reveal horrors, and swallowing screams whole. Beneath the surface lie ancient underground temples containing sacrifice pits and portals to the Void and the Hells. The Enders — half-human, half-horror creatures of tremendous size and terrible purpose — dwell within the mist and guard these sites. A Grim Shadows unit led by Sergeant Brael entered Mistfall to investigate a vanished caravan and discovered the temples, the portals, and the possessed soldiers wearing hood-creatures that controlled their bodies. The young recruit Ahmen survived the mission and was recommended for promotion.
